Maturity

1 Corinthians 13:11
When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

In prayers, there is time of childishness. When God is calling you to pray, and then you feel so tired and feel you will do that after relaxing for a while. Sometime He calls you to pray at the middle of the night but feel so sleepy, and want to wake up early the following morning for work. Sometimes He calls you to pray on a certain day, only to realize your best friend’s child's birthday was the same day… Excuses after excuses….

Paul says when I was a child, I spoke like one! I reason like one. But praise the Lord now am a man! I reason like a man or a grown up. I speak like a grown up. Now am a man, he says. The difference between a babe and a grown up in prayers is discipline. When God speaks tells you to pray, you don’t procrastinate! You rise up and pray. Your job comes after obedience to God's word. When He calls you at the middle of the night, you just obey. You need to be too much afraid of God to be afraid of men. Your friends child's birthday can wait. You obey God first. Paul says .. When I was a child… but wides up... when I became a man, I put childish things away. Its not God who puts the childish stuff away for us to pray… NO! We put them away when we become grown Christian.

Now I say that  the heir, as long as he is a child, does not differ at all from a slave, though he is master of all,…..Galatians 4:1
